Colin Bucksey

Colin M. Bucksey is a British television and film director.

BiographyEdit

Bucksey was born in 1946 in Camberwell, London, England. The same year that his directorial career started, 1973, he married Verity Lambert, the first producer of Doctor Who. Divorced several years later, he re-married in 1988 to Sally Bucksey and they have two children, Alfred and Theodore.

Bucksey initial credits are all linked to British television, with titles like Crown Court, Armchair Thriller and Educating Marmalade.

After his move to the US, his credits grew with titles like Miami Vice, Crime Story, Wiseguy, Sliders, Nash Bridges, Lexx, NCIS, Numb3rs, Breaking Bad, The 4400, Burn Notice, Better Call Saul, and Revenge. In 2014 he won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special with the episode Buridan's Ass of Fargo.

Bucksey is known for his work in the films September (1996), Live Shot (1995) and Dealers (1989).
